My all time favorite locomotive is the
Mason Bogie,
particularly as realized on the
Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad
(see also here).
Particularly number 8 (later becoming number 44):
I built my model in 1:20.3 scale, which is used to accurately model 3 foot narrow gauge railroads on the original LGB track gauge of 45 mm,
following the
Masterclass being taught by
David Fletcher.
Here's the result:
Probably the only way I'll get to run a Bogie!
Decals by Stan Cedarleaf.
Woodworking son Drew made me a carrier following an article from myLargeScale.com.
Because my locomotive is battery powered, I can run it right into the carrier - brilliant!
Some detail shots of the backhead (with labels on the first):
And a "night" shot:
A couple of movies with sound:

Friend Gail Briggs did a painting of my locomotive and cars on the
Palisades:
See my construction log.
And I built a few freight cars for the locomotive to haul. These came from
Hartford Products kits.
